California Salmon & Steelhead
Smith River
The Smith River is one of those places people fish because its raw beauty and scenery is unmatched. You’ve got crystal-clear water, way fewer crowds, and trophy class Chinook salmon and winter steelhead. It’s not just about catching something, it’s about being in a wild, beautiful river where the fish are still doing what they’ve always done. If you want quality fish, peaceful water, and that “this is why I fish” feeling, the Smith delivers. Not to mention the crisp fresh air flowing through some of northern California's most beautiful Redwood forests.

Drift Boat Trips
Our drift boat trips are a full, relaxed day on the river — about 6–8 hours on the water. The trip is $325, per person. This includes everything you will need: all bait, tackle provided. We will target the best holding spots, and really experience the serenity of the Smith River. You will just need your CA fishing license and steelhead or salmon report card. Depending on species targeted. Dress for the weather and bring a lunch.

Power Boat Trips
Our power boat trips are perfect during high water. Or if you want to have a larger party, our boat can accommodate 4-6 people. You’ll spend 6–8 hours on the river, moving between holes and runs to stay on active fish. The trip is $325 per person, with all bait and tackle provided, so you can focus on fishing while we handle the rest. It’s a great option for maximizing opportunities and adapting to changing river conditions. You will just need your CA fishing license and steelhead or salmon report card. Depending on species targeted. Dress for the weather and bring a lunch.
